Drawing in the space
I designed this course in 2014, and today, more than a decade later, it remains for me an invitation to play with line in space, with the freedom to create in three dimensions, rethinking drawing and sculpture. This proposal arose from my own need to create a space where I could discuss and analyze the infinite possibilities of line.
Inspired by artists such as Gego, a pioneer in the concept of "drawing without paper," and Alexander Calder, an innovator in wire sculpture, I challenge students to explore the technical and aesthetic possibilities of line, drawing, and sculpture. Using different techniques and resources, both with wire and iron rods, they develop personal projects, from conceptual drawings to sculptural works.
This course is not just about learning techniques: it's about discovering new ways of looking at, inhabiting, and transforming space. Are you up for it? More information and bookings can be found at the link.
